NOVA Elektronik GmbH was founded in 1980 as trade company for components and appliances.

In 1984 we became the NOVA Elektronik Vertriebs GmbH.

The distribution contracts with our suppliers could be made and they are still valid today. Since this year we represent in Germany the whole capacitor range of the Taiwanese manufacturer TEAPO Electronic Corporation.

As representative in Europe NOVA is acting for the Japanese manufacturer Fukushima Futaba Inc. who produces special resistors.

At the same time NOVA has been known in the electronic field for the
COMP-CARD^® -System (laboratory assortments).

In the course of the years we have developped and enlarged the system. Today it comprises nearly 100 various assortments with different electronic components.

It became very popular in the electronic market and it is distributed by catalog distributors and electronic trade companies. Manufacturer of electronic parts are using our system for their sample supply or customer service.

In 1989 NOVA developped the IC-FINDER (IC-database on PC-AT), a completely new business field for our company. The IC-FINDER was accepted with enthusiasm on the market, and so we developped databases for passive and electromechanical components. In 1995 all singles libraries were combined to ALABEL^© (database for electronic components) which is now used in companies all over the world.

In 1999 NOVA has decided to concentrate on their main activity: the component business and our COMP-CARD^® -Systems. Furthermore, we have extended the sales program by SMD-aluminium-electrolytic capacitors of the Taiwanese manufacturer Luxon.

ALABEL^© was sold to Hearst Business Communications, Inc. (USA) whereas NOVA takes over the sales in Germany.

NOVA Elektronik GmbH becomes popular more and more through regular advertisements in the electronic magazines as well as through participation at various exhibitions. The most important is the "electronica" in Munich where NOVA is exhibiting since its foundation.

At the 1th, January, 2001, we take over the company BBS Electronic (Bonn / Germany) and also their contracts for distribution. So the salesprogram of NOVA is enlarged by passive components of Yageo Europe (formerly Vitrohm), cable ties and accessories of Panduit and IEC connectors of K+B.

In November 2004 NOVA was certified according DIN EN ISO 9001:2000. We have done a further step to fulfill the requirements of our customers.

After NOVA has expanded the stock and warehouse capacity in the year 2005 and additionally enlarged the range of laboratory assortments, 2006 was the year of construction of the new office building.

In December 2006 it was realized. NOVA changed within the industrial area of Brauweile in our new and own building. Having much more space in our new warehouse, we are able to be more effective in our stock handling in 2007.
